August 2017 - With three sworn friends we set off for the Black Rock Desert in Nevada to celebrate the Burning Man Festival with 80,000 people over eight days. Temperatures over 40 degrees, sandstorms, spartan food, no cell phone reception and, above all, no showers make the usual thoughts of everyday life completely disappear. Instead, these almost hostile conditions lead to people of all different backgrounds and orientations laughing, dancing naked together and toasting to the beauty of the here and now. For me it was one of the most beautiful eight days, which despite the 9,006.78 km distance from Munich felt completely like home.
